Along with this, make note of any strange conversations. If the person is asking a lot of seemingly unnecessary or uncomfortable questions, this is never a good sign. They may also ask about confidential things or about your company’s security practices.
What are they carrying? Bringing backpacks or suitcases into environments that don’t call for them is always something to be wary of. If you note anything off about a customer or co-worker be sure to pay attention to the details. Knowing what they were wearing, what they look like, and what their vehicle make and model it makes them much easier to track down, should police involvement become necessary.
